This panoramic photograph of Los Angeles was taken by James Blakeway. It shows a magnificent twilight view of the downtown Los Angeles skyline. On the left is Staples Center, which serves as home to the L.A. Lakers and Clippers basketball teams and the L.A. Kings hockey team. The tallest building in Los Angeles, with its round, brightly lit top, is Library Tower. Further right is the historic, white, pyramid-roofed Los Angeles City Hall building. Los Angeles is probably best known as the filmmaking capital of the world with many major movie studios and television networks located in the area. In addition, it’s the West Coast’s leading financial center and is one of the largest manufacturing and retail centers in the country.
