This panorama, taken by James Blakeway, captures one of the most anticipated football seasons at the University of Houston™, as the Cougar’s commemorate their season opener at the new on-campus, state-of-the-art TDECU Stadium. Construction of the new structure began on December 3, 2012, and was built on the former site of Robertson Stadium. The continuous bowled stadium seats 40,000 fans and includes 26 suites and 42 loge boxes among its several premium seating options. The John O’Quinn Field designed for the new stadium, includes alternating dark green/light green pattern and features a silhouette of the downtown Houston skyline on one end and the Cougar logo on the other.
