This aerial panoramic photograph was taken by James Blakeway and features a view of downtown Philadelphia with the Delaware River in the foreground. To the right is the Ben Franklin Bridge, a suspension bridge connecting Philadelphia and Camden, New Jersey. On the left on the river is the USS Olympia, the white ship that was Admiral Dewey's flagship during the Spanish American War. The USS Olympia was launched in 1892 and retired in 1922. Philadelphia, founded in 1692, became the headquarters of the American Revolution and is home to much of early American History.
