Text on Panorama:
This panoramic photograph of New York was taken by James Blakeway. It features a twilight view looking across the Hudson River at the western side of Manhattan's Midtown. On the right, with its red and green-lit top, is the Empire State Building, New York's tallest building. Built in 1930, this 102-story building was, for many years, the world's tallest building. The Chrysler Building with its art-deco roof is located just right of center. The twin buildings on the left are the North and South Towers of Time Warner Center, built in 2004. New York is the nations most populous city and the capital of finance.
