Text on Panorama:
This panorama, taken by Robert Pettit, spotlights a season kick-off game between the K-State Wildcats and the University of South Dakota Coyotes. To commemorate the induction of Coach Bill Snyder into the College Football Hall of Fame, K-State asked fans to participate in the first-ever “stripe-out” of the stadium named in Coach Snyder’s honor. This season opener was also the first game after the completion of the new Vanier Family Football Complex in the north end of the stadium. The sellout crowd for this historic game illustrates the loyalty of the K-State football fan base, widely touted to be some of the most committed and passionate fans in college football.
