We wanted this college comforter to be environmentally conscious, but we know that anything that is being recycled needs to conform to high standards to ensure cleanliness.
Fortunately, this revitalized feather and down Twin extra long comforter is also Downafresh® certified, so you can rest easy knowing that the cozy down and feather inner fill of this high quality college comforter comply with strict hygiene requirements. To make sure the original down and feathers that are taken from old down products are safe, the process to clean this dorm bedding material is incredibly thorough and rigorous. To start, the recycled down and feathers are washed a total of 6 to 8 times. After the washing process, the feathers and down clusters are dried at temperatures that exceed 212°F. After all of that washing and drying, the now revitalized down and feathers are also further disinfected to ensure cleanliness. And to also help put your mind at ease, the newly cleaned down and feathers are then tested in laboratory to confirm that they meet the hygiene requirements needed for use. These repurposed down clusters and feathers are then stuffed into this extra large Twin comforter that has a soft cotton exterior, and sewn with a baffle box stitch to eliminate shifting. Every care is taken to make sure that this one of a kind recycled college comforter is clean, soft, and extra cozy!
