Is shipping really just $2.95 with no minimum purchase?
YES! Shipping is just $2.95 for your entire order for a 5-10 business day delivery. That's right, whether you buy 1 item or 100 items you pay just $2.95. The only catch is that you must ship within the 48 continental United States.

How Fast will my order ship?

Orders ship within 24 hours! That's right you pay $2.95 shipping and we get your order out the door in 24 hours or less! Keep in mind weekends don't count because our shipping carriers do not work on weekends. If you place an order Friday night, 24 hours is considered Monday. Your tracking information will be emailed shortly after your order ships.


Note: On rare occasions certain products take longer than 24 hours to ship. This is usually due to extreme demand or if the product is made-to-order in the USA or comes from a sister warehouse. You can find this information out by viewing Availability within each product description. Typically you will see Usually Ships in 24 Hours, in the product description. If you however see a longer wait period, we do apologize for the delay.


How long do orders take to arrive?
We ship within 24 hours and orders typically take 5-10 business days to arrive. Sometimes it's faster, but we never want to over-promise. Our $2.95 shipping moves via standard ground shipping, which takes on average 5-10 business days depending on your location. Since we ship 99.99% of products from our Buffalo, NY, warehouse you can guesstimate when in the 5-10 business day range that your products will arrive. Overall it is sometimes hard to guess, that's why we say to expect 5-10 days after your order (weekends do not count as days).

What if I need my order faster?
We can do that! Because we ship 99.99% of products from our main Buffalo, NY, warehouse and we ship within 24 hours, we can ship AS FAST AS YOU WANT. During checkout you'll see faster shipping options listed under our everyday $2.95 shipping. These include: FedEx/UPS and USPS Ground, 3-Day or 2-Day and Overnight and First Overnight shipping. That's right, if you are willing to pay the overnight delivery charge, you can get your order within 24 hours as long as it's placed before 2 p.m. EST.

Many customers opt for FedEx/UPS and USPS Ground, which arrives in 2-5 business days from your order date. For some, your order may even arrive within 24 hours. The best way to know how long your delivery will take is to go to UPS.com, plug in your zip code, our zip code (14227), and the weight (you can just put anything, as weight does not dictate how long a shipment takes). Next choose "Use an already Scheduled pick-up" and hit GET A QUICK QUOTE. The shipping rates won't apply as we pass on all of our discounts, which means you only pay a fraction of the price. What does matter is how long UPS estimates arrival. On average you'll find that if you live in the Northeast your order arrives in 1-2 business days, South or Midwest 2-3 business days and West Coast or Deep South 4-5 days.


What is your cut-off time for all upgraded shipping
?
Good Question. Any orders prior to 2 p.m. Eastern Time, we guarantee that the upgraded shipping order will go out the same day. For example if you order on a Tuesday at 1:59 p.m. ET your upgraded FedEx/UPS and USPS Express shipping will go out the same day. This means if you ordered Overnight shipping, you'll get it Wednesday, 2-Day you'll get it Thursday, 3-Day Friday and Ground, you'll get it within 2-5 business days following the date you placed the order. Orders after 2 p.m. are guaranteed to ship the next day. From there you can estimate the date of arrival based on the shipping method you choose. Once again keep in mind weekends in the shipping world do not count as days.

I live in Hawaii, Alaska or Puerto Rico, how does your shipping work for me?
We can ship your order, however our $2.95 shipping cannot be extended to your location. Upon checkout you'll see the shipping options that are available.


I live internationally, but I'll be attending university in America. Can I order?
Absolutely! We accept PayPal or credit cards from your bill-to address and we can ship your order directly to your university. Please make sure your University address is correct and complete, and we can ship your order for the $2.95 rate or you can upgrade your shipping to get it faster. If you want to place an order today, but you don't want it to ship until a future date, simply email us at help@dormco.com. Include your order # and the date you want your order to ship and we'll pre-pack it and have it scheduled for your desired arrival date. By doing this, you know that if you are coming all the way from England, Australia or whatever country you call home, your dorm stuff will arrive and be ready for your arrival.

Note: DormCo holds the right to ship with UPS or USPS in place of FedEx for Ground, 2DAY, 3Day or Overnight Shipping options. Who we ship with varies, but what does not vary is that fact we will meet the shipping timeframe you select.

RETURNING PRODUCTS - OUR RETURN POLICY
  How do I return an item?

Dorm Co knows that you may be shopping for your college dorm supplies in May (after high school graduation), but you may not realize your dorm product purchase is not what you needed until August (after you move in to the dorms). For this reason Dorm Co offers a 120-day return policy. If your ordered products have not been used and the packaging is intact and has not been damaged, Dorm Co will allow refunds for up to 30 days and store credit for any orders returned after 30 days and before 120 days. The 30-day and 120-day time-frames span from the date you received your order to the date it arrives back to us. The refund or store credit will be for the purchase price of the product and will not include the shipping cost. For store credit, the store credit code will be emailed to you and it does not expire.

Return shipping costs are the sole responsibility of the customer. Dorm Co does not cover return shipping costs. Dorm Co will not provide call tags or shipping labels. Orders returned by the "return to sender" method will be deducted the return ship cost Dorm Co incurs as well as a $5 fee per package shipped back by this method. "Return to sender" shipping is not recommended, as there is a higher likelihood of your package being delayed, damaged, or lost during shipment. It is important to return to the address below to avoid the '"return to sender" ship charge deduction. Although Dorm Co does not cover return shipping costs, we do not charge a re-stocking fee on returns. This means if you get the returned goods back to us and follow our conditions, there are no additional fees.

All returned products must be in their original, salable, completely clean condition in order to receive a refund. All parts and pieces of a product must be included. Bedding and other washable products cannot have been washed. Orders returned in a used, damaged, or dirty condition cannot be refunded. We recommend buying insurance in case the shipper damages the return while in transit. Items must be free of dirt, dust, hair, or any such materials. If a returned order comes back in violation of the stated requirements, it will not be subject to a refund. Please ship your return with your packing slip or order invoice or receipt to the address below (we need your order number to be able to identify your order). Please contact customer service at help@dormco.com if you require a new packing slip or receipt to be emailed to you. Please circle the items you have returned, and a refund will process typically in 4-7 business days from the date which we receive your return. We strongly suggest shipping your return via a shipping method in which you can track your shipment. By tracking you can be sure we have received your returned order. Please read this information carefully, as exceptions to the policy are not permitted.

Shipping Time Frames - Ship to your College/University, Home, PO Box or Work Address
 

Surepost Ground (Arrives in 5-10 Business Days)

Always $2.95 and always a way to save! This shipping option is truly a DEAL. Unlike other online stores that inflate prices to cover "free shipping" or "cheap shipping" offers, DormCo's $2.95 shipping is a true cost-savings DEAL! The only catch is that orders typically take 5-10 days to arrive due to the utilized ship method known as Smartpost and Surepost. It takes 5-10 days to arrive because FedEx/UPS first picks up the package and then delivers it to your local post office for final delivery by your local postal carrier.

Due to both FedEx/UPS and the US Post Office handling your package, added time is needed, but you get a cheap flat rate ship cost of $2.95, no matter how many items you order. You must select this option when shipping to a P.O. Box, however a college address with a P.O. Box is actually considered a "college box," which means when shipping to a college or university address, you can select any of DormCo's offered shipping options.

When do orders ship?: Within 24 hours after you place your order (weekends and holidays excluded).

Order Arrival Example: If you order anytime on Monday (example day chosen), your order ships the next day and is 100% guaranteed to arrive in 5-10 business days after that.

FedEx/UPS Ground (Arrives in 2-5 Business Days)
If selected your order will ship with either UPS, FedEX, or USPS via GROUND. The arrival date ranges from 2-5 business days because FedEx/UPS range on how long the package will take to deliver based on your proximity to Buffalo, NY (our warehouse location). If you ship to the West Coast or the Deep South, expect it to fall in the tail end of the ship window (4-5 business days). If you are in the northeast, expect it at the beginning of our ship window (2-3 business days - Estimate only). Overall, our Standard FedEx Ground option will take roughly half the time compared to our Smartpost/USPS option. If time is of concern, this option adds very little ship cost and will ensure your goods arrive faster.

Order Arrival Example: If you order on a Monday at 1 p.m. EST, your order ships the same day and is 100% guaranteed to arrive on Thursday (3rd Business Day) of that same week. If you order on a Monday at 8 p.m. EST, your order ships the next day and is 100% guaranteed to arrive on Friday (3rd Business Day) of that same week.
Express Guaranteed 2-Day Delivery
Orders ships typically by UPS/FedEx Express Air and USPS Expedited. Guaranteed to arrive in 2 business days.

Orders ship typically UPS/FedEx Express Air and USPS Overnight. Guaranteed to arrive in 1 business day.

Order Arrival Example: If you order on a Monday at 1PM ET, your order ships the same day and is 100% guaranteed to arrive on Tuesday (Next Business Day). If you order on a Monday at 8 p.m. EST, your order ships the next day and is 100% guaranteed to arrive on Wednesday (next business day).

When do the shipping options above not apply?
International / FPO & APO / Hawaii, Alaska & PR

Our standard shipping options above do not apply to International, APO/FPO and shipments outside the continental 48 United States. Rates and options will appear but will not be the same as those depicted above.

What is the Guarantee?
If we miss your ship window we refund your shipping cost to the ship window we meet. So for instance if you upgrade to "Standard UPS/FedEx Ground" 2-5 business day delivery and it arrives after 6 days, we refund your ship cost to the $2.95 cost for failing to meet what you paid for. Further if our error creates a situation where the order has arrived too late and you no longer want your order, then we will pay for the return shipping of your package(s) and refund your order in full.

The only times we do not refund ship costs or cover return shipping on a missed guarantee is if we miss your paid-for ship window and it is not our fault. This would include if you put the wrong ship address or forget part of the ship address (apartment #, etc) or if we get it to FedEx/UPS on time but due to a natural disaster, extremely bad weather or their truck blows up (has happened once) they fail to deliver it on time. In these instances we did our part to meet the guarantee, and circumstances out of our control take the blame and do not apply to our guarantee.

Note: It is extremely rare for DormCo to miss a ship window. We make the guarantee to provide you, our customer, with an added level of trust in our commitment to on-time service. DormCo knows that orders arriving late are extremely detrimental. We take it as seriously as Santa Clause coming on December 26th, which is of course completely unacceptable! In other words, we'll meet your paid-for ship window.
